Families pay the majority of the trip. Fundraising is applied as credits to reduce what families owe, and cost should never be the reason a scholar stays home. Contact the main office to set up a payment plan.
Information for families
- Does my daughter need a passport?
- Yes, and it must be valid well past the travel dates. Start this now. Passport processing is the single most common reason a scholar misses a trip.
- Can I travel to China with the group?
- Parents are welcome to travel to China on their own, but separately from the school trip. Scholars stay with the LMCJ group for the full ten days, including lodging and excursions. There is no checking a scholar out and rejoining except in an emergency.
- Who is supervising?
- Our Chinese teacher and crew leader leads the trip, with LMCJ chaperones and RealAsia guides on the ground for the duration.
- What if we fall behind on payments?
- Tell us early. We would rather build you a plan than lose your scholar’s seat. Reach out to the main office.
